dude its not like im making it up, i heard it clear as day on the ESPN broadcast.

someone else back me up here, you could very clearly hear the chant.

or are you just bitter than CHI got their tails handed to them on opening day?

no not bitter. the braves are a very good ball club and the cubs played terribly and probably could have been beat worse. they made careless errors and A-Ram should have went back to first on the fly to center because the second base up called it a catch(even though he didn't catch it). I'm just saying that the atmosphere wasn't as crazy as you made it sound. I've been to plenty of other games at different stadiums, including Turner Field, with a much better atmosphere.

They're chanting something right before he hits it. It sounds like it's his name.

    Re: ut oh...POW!

Look, Atlanta normally doesn't have very good crowd support and that's a given. Seems like when they first started their 14 year reign of divisional titles crowds were out all the time but the more and more they kept winning the smaller the crowds got until playoff time.

That was one of the best crowds that has been to an Atlanta game except when they play NY on a weekend that I've seen in quite a while. They panned the crowd numerous times and I saw a bunch of Cubs fans but there were no where near 20,000. The attendance was over 50,000 with probably 20% being Cubs fans because they are die hard fans. They always have good crowds no matter what stadium they were at.

And yes they were chanting his name just before he crushed the 450 foot blast into the bullpen in right so you are right Biggin.

Lung's video got taken down so here is one from MLB, turn up your sound and you can easily hear them chanting his name just before he sends a laser shot to right.

Good God Troy Glaus may break the record this season form most strikeouts in a season. So far this season is has been one of the weakest links. McClouth needs to pick it up too, after his horrible spring he needs to get a few hits on the board

    Re: ut oh...POW!

If I was Cox I don't know that I would waste too much time with Glaus if he doesn't get it going. Hinske is a better hitter and better defensively at first. I have my concerns with Glaus footwork at firstbase with him just making the move. I am hoping that it doesn't become a problem. Also, if Glaus completely flops, cut him and bring up Freddie Freeman to backup Hinske. Freeman will start at first next year or the year after at the latest.
